The preparation for a show is long and painstaking : the choreography has to be learned and is then followed with several rehearsals.
These photographs illustrate the importance of make-up. Each dancer has to be properly made-up before getting in costume for the first dance. Before and during the show, excitement reigns in the dressing rooms and backstage.
